2019 Easter Services
Easter service times for 2019 are:
Sunday 14th April – Palm Sunday service– 9.30am in the St Andrews Church, Box Hill
Thursday 18th April - Maundy Thursday Communion Service followed by a shared meal – 5.00pm in the St Andrews Church, Box Hill
Friday 19th April - Good Friday Service – 9.30am in the St Andrews Church, Box Hill
Sunday 21th April – Easter Sunday Service – 11.00am in the St Andrews Church, Box Hill

International Women's Day 8 March 2019, a video message from Dr Deidre Palmer
On International Women's Day, UCA President Dr Deidre Palmer gives thanks for the many women shaping our Church and contributing to a society where all can flourish.
Survival Day 2019
Uniting Church President Dr Deidre Palmer and young Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress leader Sean Weetra-Newchurch have recorded a Survival Day video message on Ngarrindjeri country in South Australia. It is very worthwhile to watch this!

Christmas service times for 2018 are:
Monday 24 December – Christmas Eve Carol Service – 7.30pm in the St Andrews Church, Box Hill
Tuesday 25 December – Christmas Day Service – 10.00am in the St Andrews Church, Box Hill (**Note changed start time!**)

Dr Deidre Palmer video on Eco Theology
Dr Deidre Palmer, President of the Uniting Church in Australia, recently posted a short presentation on Eco Theology. It is well worth watching!
Rev Ojitha Goonetilleke on annual leave (26 Aug-16 Sep 18) / **temporary change to service start times**
Please note that Rev Ojitha Goonetilleke will be on annual leave from 26th August and will be returning on 23rd September 2018. During Ojitha's absence, the Sunday services on 26 August, 2 September, 9 September, and 16 September 2018 willl be conducted by Rev Kisoo Jang but at the earlier time of 9.00am. Hope to see you there!
We wish Rev Ojitha a very happy break and gratefully thank Rev Kisoo for his assistance in taking the services for this period.
Combined Hanbit / St Andrew's Sunday service **Note changed start time!**
There will be a special combined Hanbit / St Andrew's Sunday worship service at 11.00am on Sunday September 10th to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Hanbit congregation at Box Hill. Everyone is very welcome to attend!
Note that the combined service at 11.00am is only St Andrew's service on this Sunday and is instead of the normal service at 9.30am. So don't come at 9.30am unless you want to be extremely early!
East Africa famine appeal (call for urgent assistance)
Act for Peace, the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia, have put out a call for urgent assistance with the current famine situation in East Africa.
"Act for Peace partners are already on the ground distributing emergency food and water supplies and providing other lifesaving support.
But the scale of the crisis is truly staggering, and there’s just not enough money to meet the need.” (from the Act for Peace website).
If you can assist with this important appeal, please go the Act for Peace website to donate.
2017 Share Winter appeal
The 2017 Share Winter appeal is underway. The money raised in the Share winter appeal is used to give emergency support to families in crisis in Victoria and Tasmania. Donations may be made via the Share website, by phoning free call 1800 668 426, by downloading a donation form or you can pick up a donation envelope from a local Uniting church.

Rev Ojitha Goonetilleke leave / temporary change to Sunday Service start time
Please note that Rev Ojitha Goonetilleke will be on annual leave from 19th July and will be returning on 13th August 2017.
